The Dallas Bar Association, a 144-year-old professional, voluntary organization comprised of more than 11,000 lawyers in the DFW Metroplex, recently inaugurated its 108th President. Leading the association in 2017 will be Rob Crain, a personal injury attorney, and name partner at Crain Lewis Brogdon LLP.
Mr. Crain was elected Chair of the Board of Directors in 2013. He has served as Chair of numerous DBA Committees including the Public Forum Committee and Bench Bar Conference Committee. In addition, he was Co-Chair of the 2011-2012 Campaign for Equal Access to Justice, which funds the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program to provide free legal assistance to over 4,000 low-income families with civil legal needs each year. He is a Life Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation, a Sustaining Life Fellow of the Dallas Bar Foundation, and a Life Founding Fellow of the DAYL Foundation.
Mr. Crain received his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law. In addition to his bar service, Mr. Crain has served on the Board of Directors for the North Texas Chapter of Big Brothers Big Sisters and for the Texas Trial Lawyers Association. He has been included in The Best Lawyers in America, Best Lawyers in Dallas, and Texas Super Lawyer. In 2003, Mr. Crain received the “Back the Blue Award” from the Dallas Police Association.
